Psychic Paintings & Readings

What are Psychic Paintings and Readings?

Psychic Paintings and Readings are a clairvoyant work of art and reading. The reading happens live with me over Zoom.

I create the reading and art by tapping into your energy, entering a meditative state, and seeing your story unfold. Based on this vision, I create an original work of art after our session.

The art also correlates with a tarot card.

While I absorb the visions and imagery during our session, I tune in to where you fall on the spectrum of human experience; in other words, what is universal about your story and what you’re going through? What is the larger spiritual teaching?

Tarot gives us a roadmap and acts as a pathway to the Divine in us; the tarot archetypes (the 22 Major Arcana cards) are the larger spiritual teachings that help us understand life. Because my language is also tarot-speak, I connect the vision I see about you with a sacred teaching (a tarot card).

The final painting you receive is a vignette of your story and a tarot card.

I complete your painting after our session and mail it to you. You also have the option to receive a recording of your session, too.

What do you "see" in the Psychic Readings?

What I see varies from person to person. Here are some examples:

I might see a book floating in, showing a publication in the works.

You could be walking in a field of flowers with bees landing on your hands; you’re working with bees as an occupation or, more symbolically, overcoming something you fear could “sting” you.

Maybe you’re in a period of regeneration, and psychically, this translates into me seeing you walking on fresh, dewy grass.

The clairvoyant images I see show what you’re experiencing and where you’re heading and offer advice and insight.

How can a Psychic Reading & Painting help me?

People share that Psychic Paintings and Readings are one of the most impactful spiritual experiences they’ve had.

The reading and painting offer insight into your spiritual growth and share insight into essential parts of your life. I often see things that can help your relationships, career, goals, and spirit rise toward their highest potential.

The reading and painting are an inspirational, spiritual moment to anchor your soul in its journey. The final painting is a talisman and guide to keep close for a lifetime.

Can you tell me more about your experience and process?

My process as a psychic is steeped in over a decade of experience and a lifetime of study.

As a reader and artist I see, and my training allows me to interpret what I see means. As an artist, I’ve studied how images convey meaning for 20+ years.

My psychic abilities started as a child; I could easily grasp what was happening with everyone around me. These skills developed further as a teenager. I learned to communicate with guides and spirits through automatic drawing and writing. I’d close my eyes, open my sketchbook, and flow with what felt like “wind” or a spirit entering my hand. After several minutes, I’d open my eyes, shocked to see words and images I had no pre-cognition or awareness of drawing.

The crossover between art and the spiritual realm is nothing new to me. This is why becoming a tarot reader felt like coming home; card images are portals to access a veiled reality.

Art is a natural conduit for psychic work. When I do a psychic reading, I can vividly see a story in my mind’s eye that accurately depicts what you’re going through.

We are all connected through an energy grid; doing a psychic reading is like picking up a phone and dialing into the grid. Once tapped in, I can see the story in your thread and the interlocking webs.

You might be wondering how I developed these skills. Well, I didn’t get here overnight, that’s for sure! Over the past 10+ years of working as psychic tarot reader, I’ve honed my skills through group work, classes, book clubs, and the experience I’ve gained through my professional practice.

I also have a metaphysical practice, which includes regular meditation, magical journeywork, and a variety of exercises that help strengthen my abilities.

Can I see a gallery of Psychic Paintings?

I’d love to show you some of the Psychic Paintings I’ve made! The first painting shows how your piece will look framed. (Note: the Patreon offering doesn’t include a frame, contact me if you have questions).

All of the artwork here was shared with client permission. If you’ve worked with me before, you know that I take client confidentiality seriously!

Your framed piece looks great on the wall, or makes for a great personal altar. Like so–

Your art includes a hand-written and painted card about your piece, which explains the symbolism:

Can you tell me more about Patreon?

Patreon is a place for fans to invest in the creators they believe in. You sign up for a tier and we work together monthly. I like working through Patreon because it lets me stay connected to you beautiful creatures!

Psychic Paintings and Readings on Patreon are limited to a select few who want to deepen their spiritual studies and work with me on a monthly basis.

Every month, you can meet with me to receive your reading live, or I can do it remotely and send it to you as an audio file. You get to choose! (More on this below.)

Your painting is created after the reading. The paintings are 4 x 6 inches and include handwritten cards explaining your painting. You also receive a tin to store your cards in. You can frame them if you choose to.

My hope is to create a unique set of tarot cards for my Patreon people. Ideally, you’d stick with me long enough to receive a full-set of personalized Major Arcana cards – 22 cards in total.

I mentioned that through Patreon, every month you get the option to do the reading live with me, or have your reading sent as an audio file. Doing the audio file means that I am completing your reading remotely. Folks always have questions about remote readings. So…

Here is more about my process of working remotely. And other stuff you should know…

(Note: The concepts, my approach, and the grounding / meditation work I talk about in the “remote” readings are also things I incorporate into my live Zoom readings.)

People believe that psychics need to be in the presence of the person they’re reading for to pick up on their energy. If you’ve received a tarot reading from me, you know that I see all the aspects of your circumstances during our session: the people surrounding you or, for example, the vibe at the office. I can read about others in your life when they’re not there; why wouldn’t I be able to read for you in the same way?

Because of the nature of energy, I can see your story and create your painting from a distance. Psychic work is essentially tapping into a web of information.

We are all connected through an energy grid; doing a psychic reading is like picking up a phone and dialing into the grid. Once tapped in, I can see the story in your thread and the interlocking webs.

You might be wondering how I developed these skills. Well, I didn’t get here overnight, that’s for sure! Over the past 10+ years, I’ve honed my skills through group work, classes, book clubs, and the experience I’ve gained as a professional tarot reader.

Additionally, I have a metaphysical practice, which includes regular meditation, magical journeywork, and a variety of exercises that help strengthen my abilities.

When I begin your psychic painting and reading, I start with an in-depth grounding, light opening, and blessing.

For the grounding, I take time to connect to the earth so that my body is anchored. Next, I open my third eye and bring in “light energies,” meaning I tap into the Divine above. I then create a protective, energetic sphere around me so I may safely travel and see the vision that Spirit presents.

Before I begin seeing your vision, I silently speak a blessing, saying your name and stating my intention to see your story and tarot archetype. This is where I ask Spirit for what can best guide and support you. After the blessing, I move into a dark space like an empty movie theater. A story starts emerging from the screen*.

While I absorb the visions and imagery, I tune in to where you fall on the spectrum of human experience; in other words, what is universal about your story and what you’re going through? What is the larger spiritual teaching?

Tarot gives us a roadmap and acts as a pathway to the Divine in us; the tarot archetypes (the 22 Major Arcana cards, specifically) are the larger spiritual teachings that help us understand life. Because my language is also tarot-speak, I connect the vision I see about you with a sacred teaching (a tarot card).

After I move through the entire story, I pick up a recording device and recount it. The story is recorded in such a way that it acts as a guided meditation; you are taken through the story so that you may fully see and live it in that moment. The recording allows you to return to the journey and message anytime.

Following the recording, I create your psychic tarot card. The painting is done on cold-pressed watercolor paper and is 4 x 6 inches. The image I paint is a vignette from your story. I also include an extra painting with a handwritten note about your card.

Next, I ship out your painting, send your audio file, and open my books so that you can schedule a session to reflect on your painting and message.

Each painting and message is sent so you’ll receive it on the first of every month, guiding you for the month ahead.

Note:

*The movie screen technique is one I learned from Christopher Penczak’s book The Inner Temple of Witchcraft

Do you have testimonials?

I do! People have nice things to say. What a blessing.

“I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from Rebecca’s psychic painting and reading, but I’ve worked with many of her decks and taken a handful of classes, so I knew that the experience would tap into my life in insightful ways and I always trust her vision. She sent me a gorgeous painting of a woman walking on a tightrope under a sky marked by a big blue moon and a sun: the theme was balance and persistence, and her reading connected the card’s themes to specific elements of my daily life from my internal compass to my relationships and work life. A second painting of just the moon, a large blue/purple orb with a white halo around it, underscored the archetype that we are working with during this eclipse season. I spent several weeks reflecting on the reading and looking back at the specific wisdom of it: Rebecca’s insights were so deeply connected to this moment in my life, and her description of that moment felt revelatory and true. More surprisingly, several weeks after receiving her paintings, my partner proposed to me with a ring that is identical to the moon painting–a blue stone surrounded by a white circle–indeed, the artwork was so attuned to me that I am still shaking my head in wonder. I work as a curator and arts writer, and I am so happy to have these paintings live with me that I am going to frame them and hang them in my office. Thanks, Rebecca – I’m so grateful for your many talents and your deep wisdom and generosity!”

“I haven’t had an experience quite like this! Rebecca relayed a message that was very much in line with what has been on my mind, and gave me insight and a fresh perspective. The meditation she provided was helpful and grounding, and it’s very special to receive a personalized reading and artwork in the mail, as well as an audio recording that I can reference for the future.”

I just booked a session. What should I expect?

Here’s what to expect during the session.

  1. First, we’ll have a proper chat! We won’t waste your time talking about the weather (unless you want to!), but I like to start each session with a few minutes to talk and learn a thing or two about you. If I’ve worked with you before, we’ll take a couple of minutes to catch up. I’ll also cover what to expect during the session and answer any questions you may have. I will also ask if you want the session recorded and if so, I will begin recording for you.

  2. We’ll move into an in-depth grounding, light opening, and blessing. Our video cameras will be turned off during this time. For the grounding, I connect us to the earth so that our bodies anchored. I also walk us through a process of clearing our energies so we are prepared for the session. Additionally, lead you through a shielding and blessing to call in higher energies. I open my third eye and bring in “light energies,” meaning I tap into the Divine above.

  3. After the initial grounding and blessing, the reading begins. During this time, our video will stay off but our audio will stay connected. Through my third eye, I move into a dark space like an empty movie theater. A story starts emerging from the screen; this story is about your life now and what most needs your focus. It comes through in colors, images, symbols, and a narrative that is personal to you. I will share what I am seeing and what it means. Additionally, I will connect with Spirit to ask what your current Tarot Archetype (sacred teaching) is. While I absorb the visions and imagery, I tune in to where you fall on the spectrum of human experience; in other words, what is universal about your story and what you’re going through? What is the larger spiritual teaching? We’ll connect your story to your tarot archetype (what I also call a sacred teaching). The reading will last anywhere from 20-40 minutes (but there is more reading yet to come!).

  4. I will close the vision, and then welcome you back. We will turn our video back on in Zoom, and reflect together. This is time for us to talk about the reading, what came up, and what it means.
  5. The reading continues! As we reflect, additional questions may come up. Or, you might find something you wanted to know more about is still hanging in the air. You will now have the chance to ask me more questions. I may turn to my third eye to answer questions, or use tarot cards if we decide that best.
  6. We close the reading with a grounding and ritual of intention. The grounding helps you return safely to your body. The closing ritual of intention is a magical contract you create with yourself and the universe as we close.
  7. After we end our session, I will create your painting. It will be mailed to you, in a frame, with proper padding, and include a note about the painting’s symbolism. You can expect to receive this in the mail within two weeks.

I just booked a session. How do I prepare?

There are a number of things you can do to prepare!

Make sure you have Zoom installed on your computer and that it’s up to date.

I’d recommend bringing a journal so you can take notes.

You might want to have a crystal or stone to hold during the session. This helps with grounding and connection to Spirit. And you don’t need a fancy expensive crystal (although those are quite nice!). My favorite stone is one I found on the beach.

You might want to jot a couple things down beforehand, or spend some time journaling about what you hope to get from your session. While the first part of the reading is done by me and acts as an overview of your message, the second part of the reading will allow us to dig deeper into any questions you might have.

Please don’t panic! I understand that getting a reading can be anxiety inducing.  I myself get nervous when I get a reading! Getting a reading is highly personal. You’re opening yourself up to be vulnerable. That takes some courage! So give yourself some love for taking this time to connect with your spirit. And believe me when I tell you that my creature-hood is about as soft and welcoming as they come. Creating kind and loving space is my specialty.
