Description
Read tarot with this handcrafted 78-card tarot deck!
The Laughing Eye Weeping Eye tarot deck is a full, 78-card tarot deck created by Rebecca, which she often uses for her readings. While these cards rely on traditional meanings, the images are a modern blend of whimsical creatures and symbols; the deck has a folk art feel. Images in this deck were inspired by the Rider Waite Smith Tarot and the Tarot of Marseilles.
VERSIONS
The newest incarnation of the Laughing Eye Weeping Eye Tarot is in a beautiful white box, with the cards being printed on superior quality card stock. I call this newbie version 3.0, as this is the third look for this deck. Version 2.0 is the DIY version, which comes in a brown craft box. The art in both decks is the same.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES?
Well, the biggest difference is that the newest version – 3.0 (white box) looks freaking great and feels freaking great in your hands. The cards shuffle like butter, and they are premium stock (320 gsm, matte surface), which means they are durable, won’t get bent outta shape easily, and won’t suffer water damage (unless you give the cards a bath. Not recommended!). Version 3.0 is high quality.
Version 2.0 is printed on thick cardstock, but the quality of the stock is not as good as the superior smooth stock of 3.0. With heavy use over the years the cards will start to bend. If you are heavy-handed with your shuffling (for example, if you shuffle with the riffle method), you will not want version 2.0.
The size is also different. The newer version 3.0 (white box) cards are smaller, at 2.48″ x 3.46″. Version 2.0 (brown box) cards are sized: 2 5/8″ x 4.” The newest version is smaller. They are great for large spreads and also this is a handy deck to stow away in a purse or take on a trip.
Both versions come in a slide-top, removable box lid. Both boxes are very sturdy.
Version 3.0 is more expensive because the card stock is superior and there is full printed box. They cost a lot more to make.
Both versions come with a booklet with tarot card meanings. There is a site here with full tarot card meanings: http://www.rebeccaschoenecker.com/divination/
